This is NOT typical American Chinese food. I had spicy chicken feet, shrimp and pork dumpling, rice flour bean and coconut dessert. ![]() The other non-Chinese diners engaged a Chinese family at the next table to assist them in picking items. The wait staff are very nice, but not too many spoke fluent English. The place was packed, and I was one of the handful of non-Chinese diners there. There is no way of knowing exactly what is inside that dumpling or how sweet that dessert is. The food, which is excellent, comes by way of carts, with everything from soup to dessert carts. It is the closest authentic dim sum experience I have had since being in China, particularly Hong Kong. The Pine Court Bistro Chinese Resturant is in a newly revitalized strip mall. Don't forget to check out the New York Mart a few doors away. Will go back again, as well as sample the items from the regular menu as they are really interesting. ![]() Nice restaurant with good service and really tasty food. You control the cost of your meal and only take what looks good to you.If you have taken more than you can finish, as we did, they will gladly give you containers to take the food home. The entrees are varied ranging from shrimp dumplings, soups, stuffed tofu, taro cakes, beef, chicken sticky rice wrapped in leaves and a whole range of other dishes, including sweets. The prices for the dishes are tallied on a sheet on your table and are priced according to the size S-M-L. Do ask them to lift the tops off the food dishes for you to see what is inside as they do not really speak English.just point. Hint: Pace yourself, and take one dish at a time. Upon entering one is cordially greeted and led to a table, and then is when the fun starts.you are offered jasmine tea and a procession of carts begin to parade before you carrying the most delectable dishes in small portions for your selection. The restaurant is located on sunset Strip close to W Sunrise Blvd (838) between NW 105th Lane and N Nob Hill Road in a strip mall near the New York Mart Asian Supermarket (one of the finest Asian supermarkets in S.Florida). So refreshing to see an effort to offer something very different from the norm!.We saw a small advertisement in the Sun Sentinel that led us to this jewel of a restaurant that specializes in authentic Chinese Dim Sum in Sunrise Florida. Overall, really enjoyed our visit, 100% on the list to return with friends to enjoy an evening/weekend and sample the cocktails, would also use this place for a quick drink. The bar & restaurant area is very classy! great music, contemporary decor, great lighting and not a single chinese lantern! and would rate this place above most in Warrington to enjoy a meal or just a bottle of wine, champagne, cocktail, beer or whatever, not necessary to eat but I am sure you can order some dim sum in the bar area. The food is excellent, even the dim sum deal offer is a great selection and good portions, we enjoyed excellent salt/pepper ribs, satay, beef fillet skewers and crispy duck/scallops from the gourmet, no complaints, loved every dish. Obviously a very popular place early lunch, weekends and evenings, would advise that you book. Even though we were the only customers, for this late lunch the atmosphere was really nice, great music, warm and enjoyable. The dim sum selection is excellent, either the special offer of 4 for £10 from the standard dim sum or select from the gourmet list, we tried the special offer and a couple from the gourmet plus a bottle of white wine £44, could have 2 bottles for an extra £7 but was driving, a great deal for a small group!!. ![]() We enjoyed a late Wednesday lunch and although the place was quite empty at 1400hrs, service was excellent, orders taken when requested and food arrived within 15 minutes, fresh hot and very tasty. Lau's reminds me of several places in Singapore where there is an effort to offer an overall experience not just very good food. Having worked and lived in Singapore in recent years and visited Hong Kong several times, Mr. ![]() First visit, very impressed with the dim sum lunch, would be very happy to invite friends for a Chinese meal and drinks afterwards at the bar!, great business venue.
